Sometimes we develop voice habits that lead to hoarseness and even loss of voice. Throat clearing may be also exacerbate the problem. Relaxation and body exercises are used to create a physiological muscle tone and posture. Vocal exercises help one use one's voice in a functional, non-abusive way.
I offer voice therapy for people who user their voice professionally, and who are transgender. I did my Master's thesis on transgender voice. We focus on body awareness, diaphragmatic breathing, and vocal exercises for the singing and speaking voice.
Body awareness incorporates mindfulness, relaxation, neck and shoulder massage, breathing exercises. Voice therapy is a whole body experience and will help you become more confident about your voice and a better communicator.
